Wet n' Wild's Cherry Pickin' Red: My Current Lipstick Obsession

Let's be honest for a moment, shall we? I do a good job of posting my cutest pics, but I gotta tell ya, ain't much cute about being 31 weeks pregnant. It takes work to fight the urge and give into looking like hell!

Last week, however, I rediscovered one of my favorite matte lipsticks: Wet n' Wild's Cherry Pickin' Red. And really, at $1.99 a tube, how can it be wrong?

Wild MegaLast Lip Color lipsticks are true matte lip colors, so they can be a bit on the drying side, but for me the long lasting even finish is enough to overlook that aspect. And as a woman in her final trimester of pregnancy, I'll take anything that can instantly lift my mood and make me feel, well, beautiful.

I've taken to wearing it everyday, even at home. Why not? It's magic in a tube!

Lip of the Day: Maybelline Color Sensartional Lisptick in Brazen Berry

I picked up the new  Maybelline Color Sensational Lipstick in Brazen Berry a while ago, and I'm finally getting around to putting it to use.

 My review: a great soft lipstick that goes on more like a gloss than a lipstick.  While it looks very vibrant in the tube, it goes on as more of a pink than a bright purple. It is not highly pigmented either. In fact, to give it some extra oomph I topped it off with a Black Radiance gloss.

All and all I'd give this lipstick a 6 out of a 10. It's pretty, but it's isn't anything special. In fact I know I have a few other lipsticks in a similar shade. Improve the color payoff and lasting power, and we'd have a hit.

My New Baby: Clarisonic Mia2 Sonic Cleansing Brush Brightening Blossom with Boscia (Review)

Don't You Just Love it???

I know I know. The Clarisonic Mia is NOT DimePiece Friendly, BUT before I launch into my review, I do want to state that I did not pay the $159 price tag on this set.  Sephora was hosting their "Chic Week" sale (ends today 4/22) so I saved 15% off using the code VIBCHIC.

I also shopped through studentrate.com to save an additional 10% off in cash back. Make sure you click here to read about how cash back sites like studenrate.com and ebates work to save you money on shopping you'd do anyway! This set, by the way, was by far the best deal for the $$$.

But um, back to my new love.  Every spring, religiously, my face starts to break out into gross cystic pimples.  They are red, painful, and always leave discoleration when they finally decide to go away.  Usually I got o the dermatologist pick up a prescription for Retin-A (which I still may do) and wait for prettier skin. Well, I've had my new boo for about a week and it's so amazing! I love it! My pimples are fading and I'm already feeling better about myself.

Otherwise, this set gets 5 stars from your girl.

The Prrrrrrrrrfect Red Lip (Women of Color Friendly

I've always been a bright pink lip kind of girl, but lately I've been on this red lip kick. Since I like to keep my makeup fairly neutral most days, it allows me to experiment more with different lippies, and red is definitely one I enjoy playing with the most.

Last week, I decided to place an order on E.L.F. ( if you aren't familair with www.eyeslipsface.com, GET FAMILIAR! It's a great inexpensive makeup line sold in Kmart, Target, and online. Prices start at $1) but right before checking out of my shopping cart I decided to to throw in the www.eyeslipsface.com Matte Lip Pencil in Rich Red.

The ELF Matte Lipstick Line comes in several colors, but something about that red just jumped out at me.

The color pay off on this lipstick is SICK, and it stays on ALL Day. Best part? It's a total dupe for Mac's Ruby WOO ( $15 retail cost). Elf's matt lipstick pen? $3. Yes, indeedy. So go out and give it whirl and let me know what you think.
